Finding Your Bracelet Size

Buying bracelets is much easier if you know your correct wrist size. When you order a bracelet, you want to fit it properly! These simple instructions tell you how to measure your wrist properly so you can be sure your bracelets will fit well.

You may refer to the chart below for a basic guideline to bracelet sizes. Please note that this is an approximate measurement. Follow the steps below for a more accurate measurement.

  • petite
  • 6½″ - 7″
  • medium
  • 7 ½″ - 8″
  • large
  • 8 ½″
  • plus size
  • 9″

For women’s bracelets, the standard length is 6.5 to 8 inches. The quickest way to make sure a bracelet from an online jewellery store will fit is to measure your wrist. Be sure to account for comfort and movement, and remember that bracelets will need room to move over your wrist.

Step 1: Measure your wrist just below the wrist bone, where one would normally wear a bracelet, with a flexible measuring tape or a strip of paper.

Step 2: If you are using a plain strip of paper, then measure that paper strip with a ruler to determine your wrist size.

Step 3: Add between 1/4 and 1 inches (the average is 1/2 inch) to your wrist size, depending on whether you would like a snug, comfort, or loose fit. This is the ideal bracelet length for you.

It’s best to buy large bracelets with a loose fit so you don’t feel like you are suffocating your wrist. Most women feel comfortable wearing a bracelet that is around 7.5 inches in size, which is the standard size. The bracelet will hang between your hand and wrist bone, which is the most attractive position.
